You probably need to change your resolution in the game settings. Go to the graphics settings in-game and choose a bigger resolution. Also, make sure you used graphics rules maker so a bigger resolution is possible with your graphics card.

That can happen with really large lots that have a lot of items! I love making big lots and sometimes I have to reign myself in. Just got the Sims 2 and I knew exactly where to go to find out how to get it working.

I found this thread because I was able to find my charger for my super old laptop that still works and currently The Sims 2 works on it works completely fine but I wanted to update to Windows 10 so I can use this laptop to play other games as well as The Sims. I had the game working for quite some time, but I needed to repair the game from Origin because it was saying some of the files had disappeared and it was no longer launching. The 4gb patch has applied, afaik. I installed the patch and it worked I used to have the pink glitch in the neighborhood view and in-game. Following all of this I can now play!

Sounds like a mod conflict to me. Good luck! I tried all but it wont work. The error actually is just a plain prompt with nothing written on it. I was able to play for like 10 games but then it wont run. I have a problem. October Considering how popular this game still is, EA could really generate some good PR by updating the promotional version of the Sims 2 ultimate to not include securom.
After all, this was a free gift that was very recently given out that is already unable to run in Windows As annoying as it is to buy the same game three times, I for one would still do it just to get a good, working copy of this game that didn’t have such annoying DRM on it.

It is not worth the full price and I’d seriously choose Sims 2 over sims 4. TS4 is a lot like going back to sims 2 though except the build mode sucks! The feature of being able to move the entire house was good but the way rooms work is horrifically annoying.
If sims 4 came before sims 3 I might’ve been impressed but instead of a step forward they took several steps back on that one.
